A worship and educational facility for a young and growing congregation
The unique opportunity presented on this project was creating space for complete new church facilities inside an existing office warehouse building. It includes a 400 seat sanctuary, a lobby with a café, offices, classrooms, restrooms, and related support facilities.
The challenge was to design a worship and educational facility for a young growing congregation that uses creative and contemporary methods to express the timeless truths of the Bible. The goal was to use the latest technology in sound, lighting, and video to provide a straightforward yet dynamic worship space. It also needed to be related spatially and visually to the large multifaceted lobby that allows people to not only enter the worship space, but also have meaningful yet comfortable interaction outside the worship space. The build-out is all painted drywall and steel stud walls with a contemporary color scheme. Ceilings in the lobby and worship space are open structure.
